MICROGRIDS

Generation distributed in microgrids entails lower losses in transmission lines.
Microgrids mean substantial savings and great changes in the style and quality of life of rural communities.
During a period of disturbances, a microgrid can be separated and isolated from the system, causing minor disturbances in the rest of the connected loads.
A microgrid provides a reliable and quality supply of critical loads. The microgrids prevent possible failures caused by overloads in the network, thanks to the reduction of the load on the main lines.

Static switch

PERFORMANCE

Grid connection: In this operating mode, the interconnection point is closed, the central grid is active and the loads are fed from it.

Island mode: in this mode of operation, the centralized network does not supply power to consumers, and the static switch is open.

There are different hybridization options for a microarray based on a PV system. The most widespread:

Hybridized PV system with a diesel group
PV system hybridized with a hydraulic turbine
PV system hybridized with a wind turbine
Any combination of the above options

Typically, the ratio of peak PV power to total installed power is between 10% and 50%, depending on the existing local solar resource.
