Working Principle

Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas's Laser Vibrometer VELA is a scientific instrument used for precise and sophisticated characterization of structural vibration. The laser beam from VELA is directed toward the surface of interest, then is reflected and the frequency of the laser is shifted proportional to the object velocity, referred to as the Doppler frequency shifting phenomena. The Doppler frequency is then processed to give the output voltage proportional to the surface speed of the scanned point in real time.
