Madrid, April 19th, 2010.- Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas (Aries) has launched HERCULES to the market (High Energy Rail Catapult/UAV Launcher Evolved System), its latest unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and aerial target (UAT) launching system. This system replaces its predecessor, the RO-01, which has been, and will continue to be, successfully operated by various military clients such as the Spanish Army with its SIVA system. The pneumatic launcher HERCULES is the result of a 2-plus year R+D program, and its design is endorsed by Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas’ 13 years of experience in the design and production of UAV launchers.

HERCULES is the ultimate tactical solution for launching UAVs and UATs in every type of field and condition. Its state-of-the-art design guarantees the best system for safe and point-based take-off for any kind of tactical unmanned aerial system in the world, covering a wide range of vehicles weights, geometries and configurations, and launch speeds specifications.

HERCULES, with a total weight of 6.000 kg, sets up in 15 minutes and allows for a point-based take off of aerial vehicles with a weight of up to 500 kg and for a launching speed of up to 65 m/s. The system’s design guarantees minimum longitudinal accelerations, a simple and safe operation, an exceptional reliability, minimum maintenance, and operation in the most severe environments. HERCULES is easily transported by road, rail, ship, or tactical aircraft due to its various configurations in compliance with specific standards (ISO20, ACEIII, etc.). HERCULES is completely customizable to fit the specific requirements of each individual client.
