Madrid, April, 11th.- Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas, a leader in acoustic and vibration solutions, recently supplied SEAT, S.A. with the portable Acoustic Video System ACVS200, which combines holography and beamforming in order to locate and identify the sources of aerodynamic and mechanical noise in the interior and exterior of a vehicle.
The ACVS200 allows for real time noise mapping, where the origin and magnitude of noise are represented with a color scale. This information is shown on the LCD touch screen through which the system is controlled. The sampling frequency is from 100 kHZ continuously and up to 192 kHz in 30 second intervals. The data and video are recorded simultaneously.
In post-processing, analysis can be done in octaves, thirds of an octave, FFT and waterfall diagrams, or ordered. The dynamic range can also be adjusted manually or automatically. This type of equipment is especially recommended for sectors such as automotive, aerospace, naval, railways, and many others.
Thanks to the rectangular carbon fiber array of 32 microphones, the ACVS200 obtains a high resolution and a large dynamic range. The total dimensions of the camera do not exceed 55 cm by 55 cm, which make it an extremely comfortable, easy-to-use, and light system.
Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas has grown to currently be considered of the main solution providers for the automotive industry and among their clients are: Valeo, Bosch, Renault, Hyundai, Dymos, Vestas, and Alstrom, and many others. Recently SEAT has joined the list with the acquisition of the acoustic camera ACVS200 that brings together the most advanced technology in beamforming and holography.
