Madrid, 18.05.12.- Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas, dedicated to providing clients worldwide with innovative automotive safety solutions, will attend to the upcoming Automotive Safety Week 2012 in Malaysia.

The event jointly organized by the Global NCAP, Malaysian Institute for Road Safety Research (MIROS) and the Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM) is a must for automotive sector.  It will be held from 22nd to 25th May 2012 at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC), Malacca, Malaysia.  These Conferences will feature seminars on vehicle safety, the launching of MIROS crash lab code named “MIROS PC3," the inaugural ASEAN NCAP crash test and demonstrations of latest vehicle safety technologies.

Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas will be present at this event and will deliver a speech about our concept of Future Integrated Safety Laboratories.  On this presentation the company will unveil its vision of passive and active test laboratories of the future. The “Safety Laboratory” of the future, one of Aries’ main work focus, will enable researchers to combine both of Passive and Active Safety in one complete Integrated Safety Testing Laboratory. The aim is to have the capability of testing at the same time the “Accident mitigation devices” (Active Safety) with the “Injury mitigation devices” (Passive safety).

The Integrated Safety Testing Laboratory is a combination of a traditional crash test laboratory, equipped with an electro-controlled towing system, and modern Active Safety testing devices such as Autonomous Vehicle for ADAS Testing (AVAT)   or driving robots. The unique combination will feature a time synchronization of the traditionally towed car with the robot-driven car or AVAT in order to recreate critical situations in which the ADAS systems actuate, allowing researchers and developers to evaluate their effectiveness.

During the coming months, Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas will deliver, install and commission a Universal Launcher for PROTON, the main indigenous car manufacturer of Malaysia. Aries Ingeniería has always been focused on the Asian market, and considers it one of the main pillars of its international growth strategy.
